About Schilderlokaal

Up in the attic of a townhouse in the Hague, you can almost touch the clouds.

In this bright and spacious studio with a small kitchen, creative spirits and aspiring young chefs are warmly welcomed. Everything is set up so you can get started right away.

We offer educational after-school workshops for children aged around 9 and up, where they can grow as artists. It’s a wonderful way to explore both kitchen skills and drawing/painting techniques.

For anyone who wants to learn the basics, there is an introductory painting session. You’ll work independently on your own canvas. While this is not a formal class, there’s always room for friendly guidance—help with mixing colors, using brushes, and learning techniques. All in a calm, well-lit space with coffee, tea, and treats. (Second floor.)

Perfect for anyone who wants to (re)discover the joy of painting.

After a career in the food industry, Suzanne Korevaar began painting in 2018. She is a self-taught artist who mostly works with acrylics, but also with oils. After many painting courses and workshops, her first exhibition was recently on display.

In her theme of light and movement, her love for sailing in Croatia is easy to spot. The rhythm of reflections is a strong source of inspiration.
